SQL Query Builder Pro Lite

Build

SQL

Changes the SQL that is generated and the checks. Your query is kept.

Checks

Text only here: the builder writes SQL; it never connects to a database server, and nothing you type leaves your browser. To try SQL on your own data, use SQL Lab, which runs it in a database kept on this device. Review generated SQL before running it on a real database.

    Library

    Project Main

      SQL Lab

SQL Lab runs SQL in SQLite, a database engine embedded in this app. Your databases are kept on this device and nothing is sent anywhere. SQLite's SQL is close to standard SQL but not identical to SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL, so SQL written for those may need changes here.

Keyword case applies to both formatted and one-line SQL; the layout options apply to formatted SQL. Text you type into a field is never changed.

      Name

      Save as template

      Add table

A CREATE TABLE statement. Types are optional. Mark keys with PRIMARY KEY, and links to other tables with REFERENCES other_table (column).

      Import schema

      Your current schema

      Import SQL

Import replaces the builder's query of the same type (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE). Undo brings your current query back.

      Projects

Each project keeps its own templates, history, schema, current query and dialect, so work on different databases stays apart. Settings are shared, and everything stays in this browser.

      Versions

Each Save keeps the query it replaces, up to 10 per template. Restoring a version keeps the current query as a version too.

      Restore from backup

      How to restore

      Create tables in SQL Lab

Creates empty tables from your schema in a SQL Lab database (SQLite). Nothing runs until you select Create tables, and it all runs as one step: if any table fails, none are created.

        Import into SQL Lab

Import a SQL script, CSV, JSON or an HTML table into a database, or add a SQLite database file. You see what will happen first. Nothing changes until you select Import, and it all runs as one step: if anything fails, nothing is kept.

        File
